Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Diagnosed diabetes mellitus (Type 2) • Acute coronary syndrome (STEMI or NSTEMI or Unstable angina) • Undergoing successful PCI with drug-eluting stent • Able to start dual antiplatelet therapy after PCI • Age = 18 and = 80 years • Able to provide informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Age 80 years • History of hemorrhagic stroke • Ischemic stroke, dementia, or CNS impairment within the past 12 months • Traumatic brain injury or brain surgery within the past 6 months • Known intracranial tumor or suspected aortic dissection • Documented bleeding disorders or platelet dysfunction • Current oral anticoagulant therapy • Severe anemia or thrombocytopenia • Severe liver disease • Mental retardation, psychiatric illness, or inability to comply with follow-up
