Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: ? Female aged between 20 years and 35 years, ? Having infertility for more than one year, ? Body mass index (BMI) 18 to 10cm) in one ovary or both. Patient received no induction of ovulation during the last two months prior to inclusion in the study. ? Serum level of FSH (<10 Miu/mL) in the initial stages of the follicular phase. ? Both fallopian tubes were patent and uterine cavity normal as documented by a recent (about 6 months) hysterosalpingography or laparoscopy. ? A male partner with a recent (within 3 months) sperm concentration of at least 15 million/ml, and intravaginal coitus on a regular basis.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: ? Current use of hormonal contraception. ? Patients with other causes of anovulatory cycle such as thyroid disorder (hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism), hyperprolactinemia. ? Patients having medical conditions that should be controlled before pregnancy such as Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, poorly controlled hypertension ? Women who had undergone ovulation induction with similar drugs previously ? Women that showed abnormalities on transvaginal sonography (TVS) (uterine hypoplasia, congenital anomalies of cervix and uterus), uterine fibroid, ? Contraindications to CC: hypersensitivity to CC, current or past history of liver disease, abnormal uterine bleeding of unknown cause. ? Contraindications to Letrozole: hypersensitivity to letrozole or any of its components ? Other known causes of infertility: pelvic endometriosis, tubal factor ? Patients who had used hormonal contraception or hormonal implants within the past three months. ? Evidence of male factor infertility exemplified by defective sperm production due to genetic factors or varicocele.
