Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Age from 18 to 65 years. • Both sexes. • Patients with temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE). • Documented drug-resistant epilepsy (failure of =2 appropriately chosen and adequately dosed antiepileptic drugs).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Severe comorbid medical or psychiatric illness contraindicating surgery. • Prior thalamic or callosal surgery. • Cognitive impairment. • Structural brain abnormalities precluding stereotactic navigation.
