Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: -Age = 2 and =12 Years. -Both sexes. -American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Physical Status I and II. -Patients undergoing thoracotomy surgeries.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: -Patient’s parents' refusal. -Local infection at the puncture site. -Coagulopathy with International Normalized Ratio (INR) = 1.6: hereditary (e.g., hemophilia, fibrinogen abnormalities & deficiency of factor II) - acquired (e.g., impaired liver functions with prothrombin concentration less than 60 %, vitamin K deficiency & therapeutic anticoagulant drugs). -Unstable cardiovascular disease. -Patients are allergic to the medication used. -Developmental or mental delay. -Impaired liver and renal functions.
