Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Infants between 6 months to 6 years American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I-II Lower limbs surgery or lower abdominal surgeries.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Parent refusal Patients with any contraindication to caudal anesthesia (e.g. local infection, coagulation abnormality, known structural abnormality) Known allergy to local anesthetics Contraindication to use of dexmedetomidine (allergy).
