Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Age 18–25 years; active karate training =3 sessions/week. • Non-smoker; no cardiovascular, neurological, or metabolic disease. • Normal or corrected-to-normal vision; no diagnosed cognitive impairment. • Written informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Asthma, respiratory allergies, or odor-triggered migraines. • Current/past psychiatric disorders (e.g., anxiety disorders, depression, psychosis), psychological therapy, or psychotropic medications (anxiolytics/antidepressants/hypnotics). • Regular experience with aromatherapy or substantial prior exposure to hypnosis. • Pregnancy, breastfeeding, or hormonal treatments affecting mood/sleep (females). • Fragrance sensitivity; scent-triggered migraine; uncontrolled asthma.
