Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Confirmed diagnosis of ITP by clinical examination and laboratory investigations Acute ITP Patients with a platelet count less than 30 x?10?^9/L or platelet count less than 50 ×?10?^9 /L in presence of bleeding Age 1-12 years Both sexes (males and females) Parents giving willingly informed consents
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Patient with non immune thrombocytopenia. 2. Patients with Previous attack of ITP: persistent and chronic ITP 3. Patients presenting with no or mild bleeding (defined as skin manifestations only, such as bruising and petechiae) 4. Patients with life threatening bleeding : massive bleeding causing hemoglobin drop >2gm/dL or CNS bleeding
