Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Patients who have undergone radical cystectomy for bladder cancer. • At least 3 months post-operative at the time of assessment. • Able to understand and complete psychiatric assessment tools. • Willing to provide informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • History of diagnosed psychiatric disorders prior to radical cystectomy (e.g., major depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder). • Presence of cognitive impairment or neurological disorders (e.g., dementia) interfering with psychiatric evaluation. • Patients receiving palliative care for metastatic or end-stage disease. • Current use of psychotropic medications initiated before surgery. • Inability or refusal to complete study questionnaires or attend follow-up assessments.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Prevalence and severity of depression, anxiety, and quality of life among patients undergoing radical cystectomy (measured by validated psychological and QoL scales).

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Association of demographic factors (age, sex) with psychological outcomes. Association of clinical factors (tumor stage, type of urinary diversion) with psychological outcomes and quality of life.
