Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: • Diagnosis of postburn axillary contracture, which may be unilateral or bilateral. • Scar contracture maturity of not less than 6 months post-burn injury. • Patients for whom both skin grafting and flap-based reconstruction are considered viable surgical options by the treating surgical team. • Provision of informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: • Immature scar contractures (not less than 6 months after the initial burn). • Recurrent contracture post previous surgery. • Patients with associated shoulder joint pathology. • Severe comorbidities precluding surgery • Patients who are unable to provide valid informed consent.
