Inclusion criteria: All postnatal mothers who had a mediolateral episitomy given

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Presence of hematoma Prolong rupture of membranes Known allergy to chlorhexidine or povidone ipdine Diabetes mellitus Prolonged steriod use HIV infection Immediate complications like PPH Smoking Vulvovaginitis
