Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Aged = 5 years. Scheduled for elective cataract surgery at University College Hospital, Ibadan.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Known allergy or hypersensitivity to fluoroquinolones Active infective conjunctivitis, Dacryocystitis or other periocular infection that precludes safe cataract surgery. Inability or unwillingness to adhere to the preoperative topical moxifloxacin regimen.
