Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: We included male and female patients aged 16 years or older with type 1 diabetes of more than 2 years’ duration, who were on a basal–bolus insulin regimen and able to attend comprehensive diabetes education sessions.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: We excluded patients with other forms of diabetes, those with a diabetes duration of less than 2 years, and those unwilling to participate in diabetes education sessions.
