Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Medication Adherence: The primary measure of medication adherence will be assessed using the General Medication Adherence Scale (GMAS). The adherence rates will be compared between the intervention group, which receives enhanced education and counseling, and the control group, which receives routine care without additional educational interventions.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Asthma Control: The Asthma Control Test (ACT) will be used to evaluate changes in asthma control levels among participants. Improvements in ACT scores in the intervention group compared to the control group will suggest enhanced asthma management due to the educational interventions. Symptom Severity: Changes in symptom severity will be assessed through participant self-reports during follow-up assessments. A reduction in reported symptoms among participants in the intervention group will further support the efficacy of the educational interventions. Knowledge Improvement: Participants' knowledge regarding asthma management and medication use will be evaluated through pre- and post-intervention assessments. An increase in knowledge scores among participants in the intervention group will indicate successful educational outreach. Non-Adherence Reasons: The study will also identify reasons for non-adherence as reported by participants, allowing for targeted strategies to improve adherence in future interventions.
