Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Age from 40 to 90 years. • Both genders. • Prolonged mechanically ventilated patients who were admitted to ICU.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Soft tissue infection of the neck. • Severe traumatic brain injury. • Patients with uncontrolled or hematological malignancy.
