Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Individuals aged = 65 years. • Individuals with no cognitive, motor or mobility impairment or any form of health condition that is able to prevent physical activity. • Participants who are willing to participate in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Adults = 65 years • Individuals who have experienced a particular health event (e.g., stroke) • Individuals with cognitive impairment (e.g., major mental illness or dementia) or mobility problems that would interfere with physical activity training such as paralysis or inability to sit, stand, walk etc. • Individuals having major surgery in the last year or planning to undergo future surgeries. • Individuals currently enrolled in any other research study. • Individuals advised by doctors to not perform exercises. • Individuals involved in current or recent (last two months) practice of physical activity/exercise or those with regular (three times per week or more) participation in other planned exercises, such as aerobics or strength training will be excluded from this study.

MeasureTime frame
Functional ability- the proportion of functional independence made by the elderly AND The proportion of the elderly engaging in structured physical activity program at baseline and post-intervention

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Percentage reduction in perceived stress level, anxiety level, depression level and percentage increase in physical activity level among the elderly in the study area.
