Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Ivermectin-naïve children aged between 2-5 years in onchocerciasis foci with suspected complex febrile seizures

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: previously treated with ivermectin

MeasureTime frame
It is an observational study of children with febrile seizures to investigate whether certain of these febrile seizures could be caused by an Onchocerca volvulus infection and whether this could lead to onchocerciasis-associated epilepsy. Onchocerca volvulus biomarkers in cerebrospinal fluid.
