Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: . All patients of both sex within the age range from 18 to 60 years old. . Scheduled for elective thyroid surgery. . ASA I or II physical status. . BMI >35 kg/m2
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: . Refusal of the patient informed consent. . Coagulation disorders. . Neurological and/or psychological diseases. . Known allergy to local anesthetics, . Local infection at the puncture site . Previous neck surgery . Burn in neck . Neck contracture . Pregnancy, breast-feeding. . BMI = 35 kg/m2
