Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Pregnant women aged 15 years or older will be included in the study if they plan to reside in their current location (the study clusters) for at least 10 months, attend and continue ANC at a selected health facility during the study period, are less than or equal to 16 weeks of gestation at the time of enrollment, and are willing to participate and consent to follow-up until the date of delivery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The study will exclude pregnant women those taking medications such asantidiabetic, anticancer, anti-tuberculosis, anticonvulsant, or antimalarial drugs. Women diagnosed with cancer will also be excluded, as will those who have experienced significant bleeding or required blood transfusions within the past three months. Severely anemic women will not be included. Finally, the study will exclude any pregnant women planning to travel away from the study site for an extended period, specifically more than four consecutive weeks, during their ANC or delivery.
