Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients with diagnosis of uterine fibroids requiring open abdominal myomectomy 2) Women without pre-operative anaemia (ie Haemogloblin concentration greater than or equal 10g/dl

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Known allergy to prostaglandins including misoprostol 2) Known allergy to tranexamic acid 3) Previous myomectomy or caesarean section 4) Chronic medical disorders like hypertension, diabetes 5) Known bleeding or clotting disorder
