Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adult patients 18 years and above that have been diagnosed with TMDs. 2. Patients with TMDs who present with pain symptom. 3. Patients with no history of current or previous intervention or treatment. 4. Patients with TMDs of myogenous origin 5. Patients with TMDs associated with disc displacement and joint pain

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with debilitating diseases. 2. Patients with degenerative diseases of the TMJ, or articular and muscular autoimmune diseases 3. Patients undergoing other forms of treatment for TMDs. 4. Edentulous patients with insufficient number of teeth to support use of occlusal splint. 5. Patients with history of mental disorders and severe neurologic deficits. 6. Patients with active malignant neoplasm and those undergoing surgical and/or radiation therapy in the orofacial region 7. History of alcoholism, drug and pain medication abuse 8. Patients who refuse to participate. 9. Patient with past history of condylar neck fracture
