Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Women aged between 19 and less than 44 years. 2. Vertex presentation. 3. Uncomplicated singleton and term pregnancy in active labour (that was defined as the presence of at least three regular, painful uterine contractions over 10 min with cervical dilatation 4 cm or more). 4. Active labor 5. Patient willingness to randomize to delivery technique.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Extreme of age (below 19 years or more than 44 yrs). 2. Malpresentation and malposition such as breech face and oblique lie. 3. Evidence of cephalopelvic disproportion. 4. Obstetric complications such as pre-eclampsia, antepartum haemorrhage or known fetal abnormality. 5. Maternal unwillingness to undergo randomization.
