Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All neonates diagnosed with TTN based on clinical and radiological data gestational age from 38-to-42 weeks, cesarean or vaginal deliveries, both genders, incidence of tachypnea (respiratory rate > 60) within the first 6 h of birth and chest X-Ray consistent with retained fluid: congestion, perihilar streaking, fluid in the interlobar fissure.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Neonates with heart rate above 180 beats/minute, cardiac arrhythmias, neonates with congenital malformation, perinatal asphyxia, confirmed systemic infection (positive blood culture), meconium aspiration, respiratory distress syndrome (based on the radiographs), intrauterine growth retardation, history of fetal distress, pneumonitis, congenital heart disease, disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), multi-organ failure, hypoxemia, polycythemia .
