Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. ASA I to III patients presenting for any elective spine procedure with estimated anaesthesia duration greater than 3 hours (laminectomy, discectomy, spinal fusion, vertebral column resection, etc.). 2. Age 18 years and above.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Preoperative body temperature of more than 37.5 °C or less than 36 °C 2. Known history of thyroid gland disorder 3. Known peripheral vascular disease 4. Planned postoperative Intensive Care Unit (ICU) admission 5. Tympanic membrane not visible on otoscopy 6. Body Mass Index (BMI) >35 kg/m²
