Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.American Anesthesiology Association (ASA) classification I - II. 2. Operation time more than 60 minutes.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Age less than 18 years. 2- History of previous cerebrovascular accident. 3- Poor temporal window. 4- Pre-operative hematocrit below 27.0%. 5- Diabetic patients 6- Uncontrolled ischemic heart patients 7- Hypertensive patients 8- Pre-induction cerebral oxygen saturation reading < 60%

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
nvestigate correlation between cerebral oximetry and transcranial doppler with post-induction hypotension in patients undergoing abdominal surgery.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
record the intra-operative hemodynamic variables changes (heart rate, mean blood pressure), peripheral oxygen saturation, timing of post-induction hypotension, timing of regaining normal blood pressure and the need for catecholamine support.
