Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Has at least one child under the age of 53 months in December 2024; Has access to one TLU of milking animals during the entire dry season; Is identified as ‘vulnerable’ by the community; Consents to participate in the study
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Lack of children under 5 years of age and/or a required livestock unit

| Animal milk consumption. We will collect data on the amount of animal milk consumed per day in the past 24h by each child aged 6-59 months and the female respondent (noting whether the female respondent is nursing a child or not) to assess changes in animal milk consumption between the intervention group and the control group;Livestock ownership We will measure the individual livestock ownership and access of the household, including milking and non-milking camels, milking and non-milking cattle, milking and non-milking goats, milking and non-milking sheep, and poultry. ;Milking animal Body Condition Score. We will evaluate the Body Condition Score Index of the milking animals and assess variations between animals fed through the intervention group and the animals in the control group;Child and Women Main care taker (15-49 y.o) anthropometry. We will collect data on weight, height, oedema, and mid-upper arm circumference (MUAC) for children aged 6-59 months and MUAC for female caretakers;Food security: We will collect data on household food security using months of adequate household food provisioning (to capture the seasonal variability);Individual dietary diversity score for children and Women;Access to other support: We will collect information on what type of other government, humanitarian or development support the household has received.;Main livelihood activity: We will collect information on the main activities of the household as reported by the female respondents;Infant and young child feeding practices such as exclusive breastfeeding, breastfeeding up to two years of age and complementary feeding practices, including milk consumption at appropriate ages;Human disease surveillance and occurrence of diseases syndromes (fever, diarrhoea, and respiratory syndromes) among children in the study;Animal milk production and availability: We will collect amount of milk produced by household livestock in ml in the past 24 hours to assess variations between the int | — |
