Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: • Aged over 18 years and able to provide informed consent to all study procedures and data collection. • Undergoing a microneedling procedure for skin rejuvenation. • Able to attend the study site (SkinFocus clinic) on day 0, day 1, day 7 and day 28 post procedure • Agreement to refrain from use of usual skin care regimen and not undergo any other aesthetic procedures from day 0 to day 7.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: • Clients with an active dermatological condition. Given the underlying diagnosis, their microbiome may be perturbed and changes within the microbiome may not be generalizable to healthy skin. • Clients with a systemic disease that may impact wound healing such as uncontrolled diabetes mellitus • Known allergies to facial or general skin care products • Clients who have used antibiotics or probiotics (oral) within the preceding 30 days. • Clients who are using a topical probiotic cream. • Clients who would not be considered favourable candidates for microneedling i.e. clients with recent facial trauma, hypertrophic or keloid scars, cancerous or precancerous skin lesions in the facial area, planned invasive facial procedures and pregnancy
