Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: • Patients admitted to ICU with age >18 years. • Patients with a mild to moderate TBI with Glasgow coma scale between 9-15 whether mechanically ventilated or not.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: • Pregnant patients • Patients with bleeding disorders • Patients with bad acoustic window • Patients who developed shocked state • Patients had a previous intracranial lesions (stroke, hemorrhage) • Surgical TBI.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
•Primary Outcomes To evaluate the utility of Transcranial Doppler (TCD) in predicting early neurological outcomes in patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI) at 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th days of admission in progression of clinical data of TBI.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
• Secondary Outcomes o To assess the relationship between TCD measurements and the development of secondary brain injuries, such as increased intracranial pressure (ICP) or cerebral edema. o To explore the prognostic value of TCD in detecting vasospasm or other cerebrovascular complications following TBI. o Correlation between TCD and CT in detecting secondary neurologic deterioration.
