Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Women whose index pregnancy is planned for elective caesarean section. Consent to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Women who had received antibiotics two weeks prior to the operation. Women who had any visible infection or elevated temperature at the time of the operation. Women who had ruptured membranes prior to the operation Allergy to the antibiotics (Ceftriaxone). Women with anaemia (PCV < 30%) 6. Immuno-suppressed, DM, HIV, Liver disease patient
