Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - Children and adolescents aged 6 to 18 years. - Scheduled for routine venipuncture as part of standard clinical care. - Able to self-report pain using the Wong-Baker FACES Pain Rating Scale. - Informed consent obtained from parent or guardian. - Assent obtained from the child.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - Children with severe cognitive impairments affecting communication or interaction. - History of adverse reaction to VR headsets (e.g., motion sickness, nausea). - Children with chronic pain conditions such as sickle cell disease in active crisis. - Visual or hearing impairments that prevent interaction with VR.
