Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. children of American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status I–II of either sex. 2. age ranging from 6 to 18 years 3. undergoing video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. refusal of their guardians; 2. redo surgery, 3. previoussurgery, which would precludethe performance of edlepuncture; 4. local infection
