Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: -Delivery at >28 weeks - Vaginal delivery(including instrumental vaccume and forceps delivery) -Volunteering to participate in the study -CS delivery -Delivery tookplace at Abebech Gobena Hospital or Mennelik-II hospital

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: -Placenta previa -Abruptio placenta -Morbidly adherent placenta -Uterine inversion -Minors with age less than or equal to 18 -Obstructed labor from health centers

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Occurrence of primary post-partum hemorrhage , defined as blood loss = 500ml after vaginal delivery or =1000 ml after CS delivery or blood loss accompanied by signs or symptoms of hypovolemia or needing additional uteriortic agents to arrest bleeding as judged clinically by providers

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
severe PPH(needing additional medical management of PPH, which doesn't respond to initial medical management ), additional surgical interventions(laparotomy) to arrest bleeding due to uterine atony , blood transfusion, ICU admission , or maternal death
