Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Male and female patients 18 to 65 years old ASA ? or ?? undergoing elective abdomino-plasty surgery

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Allergy to dexmedetomidine or lidocaine History of cardiac disease as heart block, sick sinus syndrome and coronary heart disease History of respiratory disease as bronchial asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, pulmonary fibrosis, pneumonia, and lung cancer Renal insufficiency Hepatic insufficiency Uncontrolled hypertensive patients Significant obesity (BMI > 40) Long-term use of sedative hypnotics Refusal of the patient

MeasureTime frame
Smoothness of extubation assessed using a 4-point extubation quality scale;Hemodynamic parameters (heart rate, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, mean arterial pressure) during extubation.

MeasureTime frame
Extubation time: Time from discontinuation of isoflurane to tracheal extubation;Degree of sedation post-extubation: Measured using the Ramsay Sedation Scale;Incidence of post-extubation complications: Including laryngospasm, bronchospasm, or desaturation
