Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: non-reconstructible acute fracture cases in patients over sixty-five years, cooperative medically healthy patients, with neurovascular intact
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Fracture amenable to fixation, active infection, young patients, post-traumatic arthritis, neglected fractures (more than 10-weeks post-traumatic), neurovascular disorders, as brachial plexus injuries, axillary nerve injury, or upper motor neuron legion.

| Radiographic Assessment was based on anterior-posterior (AP) and lateral radiographs taken at follow-up. The radiographs obtained immediately were used as the template with which all sequential radiographs compared.
