Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: age range falling between 21 and 50 years admitted for elective lower abdominal surgical procedures

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: age range less than 21 or more than 50 years patients admitted for any reason other than elective lower abdominal surgical procedures

Participants underwent an equal categorization into three groups: all had intrathecally three mL volume of 0.5% hyperbaric bupivacaine, along with five µg dexmedetomidine in 0.5 mL of normal saline within group D;Participants underwent an equal categorization into three groups: all had intrathecally three mL volume of 0.5% hyperbaric bupivacaine, along with twenty-five µg fentanyl (0.5 ml) within group F;Participants underwent an equal categorization into three groups: all had intrathecally three mL volume of 0.5% hyperbaric bupivacaine, along with normal saline (0.5 mL) within group C as control
