Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: All patient aged 12 years or older (male and female) admitted to TUPCC within 6 hours after ingestion of aluminum phosphide and fit for gastric lavage will be enrolled in this study. Diagnosis will be based on the following: ? History of ALP tablet consumption from the patient or his/her relatives. ? Characteristic clinical manifestations after ALP ingestion. ? The presence of an ALP container if available.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: • Patients aged less than 12 years old. • Patients presented late after 6 hours. • Patients with combined drug/chemical ingestion in addition to aluminum phosphide. • Pregnant and lactating women. • Patients with history of chronic comorbidities like cardiovascular disease, chronic kidney disease, chronic liver disease, and chronic pulmonary disease.
