Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients 18-70 years of age. Patients diagnosed with stages I, III, and III periodontitis according to the staging and grading of periodontitis Patients who consent to be part of the study Good systemic health (ASA I/II)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with stage IV periodontitis according to staging and grading of periodontitis Any systemic disease/conditions (uncontrolled diabetes mellitus, HIV/AIDS periodontitis cardiovascular diseases, anaemia) that affect or modify the periodontium. Pregnant and lactating women. Use of fixed prostheses and orthodontic appliances. Untreated tooth caries and abscesses. History of use of systemic medications in the last 3 months (antibiotics, calcium channel blockers, immunosuppressants like cyclosporin, steroids, anticoagulants, inhibitors of salivary flow) Smokers or smokers with <10 years history of tobacco use
