Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Study participants include households residing in villages in rural areas of the Central North and Central South regions, which have not yet been exposed to the interventions. Target individuals for the study include caregivers (adult men and women) of young girls of ages 0 – 4 years old (at risk for FGM), as well as adolescent girls and boys aged 12 – 17 years old who are unmarried at the time of the recruitment (at risk for future early marriage transitions).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Villages already exposed to the intervention, or similar interventions on social behavior change focusing on harmful practices are excluded. In addition, adolescent girls and boys who are already married or cohabiting alongside their households are excluded from study (unless additional qualifying girls aged 0 – 4 reside in the household). Individuals who do not speak the main languages spoken in the village will be excluded.
