Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ? Age 21-70 years. ? Elective shoulder arthroscopy under general anesthesia. ? Physical Status: ASA I , ASA II and ASA III Patients. ? BMI less than 30 kg/m2.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ? Refusal of procedure or participation in the study by patients. ? Physical status: above ASA III. ? Infection at site of injection. ? History or evidence of coagulopathy. ? Allergies to drugs used (Bupivacaine). ? Distorted anatomy. ? Pathological lung disease or diaphragmatic paresis. ? Regular opoids use. ? Psychological disorder with difficult communication. ? A-V block. ? Pacemaker. ? Peripheral neuropathy.

The aim of this study is to compare between interscalene block versus combined lateral sagittal infraclavicular-anterior suprascapular blocks as regard phrenic nerve sparing.
