Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. children of American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status I–II of either sex. 2. their age ranging from 6 to 18 years 3. undergoing video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. refusal of their guardians, 2.redo surgery, 3. previous surgery, which would preclude the performance of needle puncture, 4. local infection

Total dose of morphine requirements.

Postoperative pain will be assessed using a modified Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Pain Scale (CHEOPS);Heart rate [HR] and invasive mean arterial blood pressure [MAP]
