Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: adult female patients scheduled for elective total abdominal hysterectomy American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) class I or II

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: hysterectomy for emergency indications bleeding disorders or on anticoagulants severe respiratory and cardiovascular diseases history of allergy to local anesthetics
