Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - All diabetics 18 years and above willing to participate in the study.. - Newly diagnosed diabetics. - Previously diagnosed diabetics
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - Diabetics who did not receive any health education during the period of intervention. - Diabetics referred for DR screening outside the intervention. - Diabetics who were recently screened outside the intervention.

| Difference in uptake of diabetic retinopathy screening between diabetics that had the vision-based education and those that had standard education. This will show if there is any difference or not in the number of participants that showed up for diabetic retinopathy screening following vision based education compared to those that had standard education. Percentage change in uptake of diabetic retinopathy screening activities with and without vision-based health education. This will show the percentage difference seen if any in the uptake of diabetic retinopathy screening after the education of patients compared to what it was before the intervention. | — |

| - The prevalence of Diabetic Retinopathy (total, Non Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy, Proliferative Diabetic Retinopathy, Clinically Significant Macular Edema, Sight Threatening Retinopathy). The proportion of patients with the different types of diabetic retinopathy will be determined as a secondary outcome. | — |
