Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The effectiveness of dexamethasone as an adjuvant to intrathecal bupivacaine versus bupivacaine alone in orthopedic surgery will be determined primarily by the total duration of sensory and motor blockade. The duration of the sensory block was defined from the peak of the sensory block up to when the patient complained of pain at the surgery site. Motor block duration is from the peak of the motor block (Bromage scale score 3) to the complete recovery of motor function (Bromage scale score 0). | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The supportive outcome measures on investigating the effectiveness of dexamethasone as an adjuvant to intrathecal bupivacaine in orthopedic surgery will be as follows. ? Pain score postoperative using a Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) ? Time for First Postoperative analgesia. | — |
