Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: patients age from 21 to 50 years old, both sexes, belonging to the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) I -II physical status, body mass index (BMI) > 30Kg/m2 undergoing surgical duration of less than 2 hours
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: emergency operations, risk of gastric aspiration (pregnancy, full stomach, and hiatus hernia), predicted difficult airway (modified Mallampati classification 3 or 4, mouth opening = 2.5 cm and thyromental distance = 6.5 cm), pathology of the neck or upper respiratory tract and restrictive or obstructive lung diseases
