Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: - Randomly selected households participating in the SPIR II implementation Woredas with children 6-47 months of age at the time of enrollment.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: - Caregivers who cannot or are unwilling to give informed consent. - Children outside the 6–47-month age range at the beginning of the phase (to enable follow-up of children ages 6-59 months only).

In line with the primary outcome of interest, confirmed wasting, including the ability of caregivers to accurately identify malnutrition in children (sensitivity) and the ability of caregivers to rightly identify children without malnutrition using the MUAC tape (specificity), validated by the health worker in health facilities or HEW in communities (the gold standard) will also be reported. | — |
