Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Age: childern under the age of 18 years. 2) Gender : both sexes will be included . 3) Full term. 4) Malnourished patients with controlled heart failure due to congenital heart disease according to NYHA class I and II (New York Heart Association, 1994) and Ross class I and II (Ross ., 2012).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) Patients with chromosomal abnormalities and other congenital malformations than cardiac anomalies or other comorbid diseases affecting the growth or the nutritional status of the children 2) Patients with complex cyanotic congenital heart disease such as Truncus arteriosus, TGA (Transposition of great arteries). 3) Patients born prematurely (<36 weeks gestation) or low birth weight 4) Patients with heart failure secondary to diseases other than CHD such as dilated cardiomyopathy, Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. 5) Uncontrolled patients with severe disease requiring admission at the time of assessment 6) Postoperative patients. 7) Refusal to participate in the study.
