Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Participant is > 18 years old, 2. Participant presents to the emergency department with acute heart failure, 3. Participant requires in-hospital management, 4. Participant has given written consent to participate in the registry.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Alternative diagnosis by the time of discharge 2. Inability to have telephone follow up at 30days and 6 months after discharge.

MeasureTime frame
To describe the incidence, epidemiology, clinical characteristics, and outcomes at discharge, 30 days and 6 months of patients admitted with acute heart failure in Africa

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To describe the diagnostic and therapeutic processes applied in the management of acute heart failure ;To evaluate how contemporary guidelines and recommendations for the management of acute heart failure are followed in this time frame.
