Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: i. Nursing mother with an infant of 2 months and practicing exclusive breastfeeding at the time of enrollment. ii. Must be willing to participate by providing a written informed consent indicating their readiness to take part in the study. iii. Mother who plan to remain in Mwanza for the complete period of the study from 2 to 5 months post-partum iv. Mother who has either basic phone or a smartphone, as the study involves interventions that require communications through these devices.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: i. Mothers or infants with complaint that contraindicate breastfeeding ii. Mother with severe communication barriers that would hinder effective contribution in the intervention iii. Nursing mother who neither do nor reside within the catchment area of the selected health facilities making difficult for the follow up. iv. Mothers who have previously participated in related breastfeeding intervention studies.
