Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: i. Participant of RTS,S/AS01E -SMC trial (initial and extension components). ii. Provision of informed consent by a parent or legally recognized guardian for the child. iii. Received all the RTS,S/AS01E or control vaccines as defined in the trial protocols (primary series in April, May, and June 2017, plus booster or control vaccine each year until the child reached 5 years of age).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: i. Did not receive the study vaccines as defined in the trial protocols. ii. Dry blood spots not collected during the cross-sectional surveys or missing
