Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: aged =20 years either sex patients with healthy lungs (negative imaging findings on chest radiograph and CT) with body mass index <35 kg/m2 physical status II -III of ASA scheduled for elective laparoscopic colectomy in Gastro Intestinal Surgery Center (GISC)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patient refusal pregnancy, patients with pulmonary, cardiac, and neuromuscular diseases. history of thoracic surgery BMI = 40
