Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: The study will include (60) patients (aged 5–12 years), American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA I-II) scheduled for elective tonsillectomy (using bipolar electrocautery).
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: We will exclude from the study patients with the following conditions 1) Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome 2) Previous peritonsillar abscess formation. 3) Cardiovascular, liver or renal disease. 4) Neurological or psychiatric diseases. 5) Coagulation disturbances. 6) Relevant drug allergies. 7) Difficulties in pain perception and assessment.
